Commute distance (one way): Various 1-20kms
Describe your commute: City-urban-suburban commuting, coastal, inland, flat to slow long hills/rises, occasional short steep hills. Head winds are always in play Melbourne… I use a mixture of bike trails and shared road ways, I try and avoid car only roads.
Day and evening commutes.
Describe your bike and accessories: Civia Bryant, Alfine 8 belt drive. Lights attached mid front fork and rear of seat post, also slide in spoke lights for night, brilliant side on visablity cars stop at a round about or street crn now, best accessory under $10 for night riding I have used.
What bit of advice would you like to share with new bike commuters?: Enjoy the change.

Perhaps you could provide a link to the provider/manufacturer of your “slide in spoke lights for night”? Sounds like a safety accessory I’d like to have, especially if I could easily switch it among my three recumbent bikes!
