Steve; if your 3 classes require you to carry enough books that they won’t fit in the front basket pictured, plus a Wald 570 rear basket, plus a frame bag, plus a backpack:
I also appreciate the sidepull brakes – “Sidepull Sams” seem to be a rare breed!
@ Maurice. I do the same routing as you, and much prefer it, but a lot of Rivs I’ve seen have the flying whisker cables.

great photos, Happen to have one of these as well, we are huge fans of Rivendel bikes!
MMMM Burnt Orange Bikegasm!
Looks just about perfect to me!
I’m hoping to save up for a Hillborne frame in the near future. Anyone know if carrying 3 classes worth of textbooks would be a problem?
Looks just like mine, so of course I like it !

Another lovely Hillbourne build! What rear hub/cassette/derailleur are you using here?
The dimpled metal fenders are what make this bike a wonderful velocipede!
Beautiful! I route the gear cables under the bar tape like the brake cables shown. Looks cleaner.

Ooooooooooooh, so beautiful! The pictures made me groan out loud. Very classy build.
Someday maybe I’ll be able to afford a Rivendell…
