The 2010 Kickstand Cyclery Virtual Alleycat Powered by Cyclelicious

2010 Virtual Alleycat

Yehuda Moon and Cyclelicious have teamed up to bring you the 2010 Kickstand Cyclery Virtual Alleycat Powered by Cyclelicious! The race starts on Monday, December 6th, 7am PST sharp at Yehuda Moon Headquarters.

What’s a “Virtual Alleycat”?

An Alleycat race is an informal bicycle race in which riders visit checkpoints and perform tasks along the course.

In this Virtual Alleycat, participants will attempt to locate hidden pages (checkpoints) on bicycle-related websites. When they find a checkpoint, they’ll leave a comment with their race number, then click on the checkpoint to move to the next website, where they’ll repeat the process. At the final checkpoint, the participants will fill out a form verifying that they’ve visited every checkpoint and completed all required tasks. The following prizes are up for grabs:

  • 1st place finish – Performance Exclusive GT ZuM Commuter Bike ($550 retail value)
  • 2nd place finish – Yehuda Moon merchandise totalling $40.00
  • 3rd place finish – Copy of David Herlihy’s “Lost Cyclist”
  • Best comment left at a checkpoint – Yehuda Moon merchandise totalling $20.00
  • Random winner from all race finishers – Pedaler Clothing pullover hoodie ($125 retail value)
  • Lanterne Rouge prize – Yehuda Moon merchandise totalling $10.00

If you’re interested in participating, cruise over to The Kickstand Cyclery to learn more and register for the event.

EcoVelo has been asked to participate as a checkpoint, so we’ll see you Monday morning!
