I took this photo during St. Louis’ final Open Streets 2010 event (a ciclovia-inspired event). I bike to help build the world in which I want to live. Seeing all these beautiful, unique photo entries makes my heart happy!

@Melissa Brown – Just saying hello to a fellow St. Louis cyclists
Hi Brad, we’ve probably passed on the road before; I don’t live too far from the SoHa neighborhood, and I’m a regular at Home Eco.

I love the mystery and intrigue of this photo. There is a great sense of potential yet also looming shadows.
Love that quote: “I bike to help build the world in which I want to live”. Very simple yet elegant (and eloquent!)
Interesting saddle?
The saddle is a Hobson Easyseat. My husband and I both love them.
@melissa
related to hobson… been using a spongy wonder for 2 years. have a spider flex in waiting if i ever decide to switch. its a good seat, as sheldon says, it has some tradeoffs with pressure on your wrists if you don’t have a nose
It’s great to see some other noseless saddle options out there. I do notice a bit more pressure on my wrists with this bike, though it really wasn’t an issue with my more upright hybrid. I rode this bike once or twice with a conventional saddle and decided that I would find a way to make the noseless work with a road bike. It’s just so much nicer!
