Robert Hellrich-Dawson’s Photo Contest Entry

Luckily this guy was passing across the street from me as I was riding, otherwise I’m not sure I would have gotten a bike in the shot. My ride takes me past the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument, the White House, and the Capitol, and all the museums and memorials in between. It’s a nice relaxing ride in the morning (virtually all downhill!) but a slog getting home. I try to view it as a good workout. Coworkers talk about the fastest route and their speed getting to work. I saw a heron in the Constitution Gardens Pond one morning. Very cool. Wish I had gotten a photo of that. I could cut my commute in half, but then I’d miss my views.
