Terrible idea! If the dog was in the basket he would have a chance to jump or fall out and save himself. The photo shows him trapped and completely at the mercy of the bicyclist. Oh, I forgot, cyclist never fall or get hit by cars.
Fantastic shot, it just makes me smile. Btw; I have that very same Linus Mixte (in cream) and love it more than anything, now if only I can find a way to tote my black lab around on it, I’d be set.
So cute. Love it. Is that a Linus Mixte? Dang, good eye Terri. I want to test ride one of those so badly. Linus is just a couple miles from me. Adam, do you love yours too?
Makes me wish I had a dog small enough to ride with me. :)
@Don Genovese, the dog would be at risk in any kind of fall here, in a basket or in a backpack. If he’s secured in a pack, at least he probably couldn’t run into traffic.
The lineage of Neptune is unknown. He was abandoned and seemed to have been neglected and/or mistreated. It took about a year for his friendly personality to emerge.
Yes the bike is a Linus Mixte. Well suited for San Francisco living, even with just 3 gears.

This is a VERY cool shot. It says sooooo much. Touching.
Great photo contest, Alan. So many fantastic photos. How can anyone actually judge them?
Corgi?
One of my fav, shots. Looks like the dog is helping you to look out for traffic. Mine can never stay still on the bike! Great shot.

Awsome mix of different layers of style, aesthetics, function, and most of all relationships all on a beautiful mixte, Could be my fav to date.
My favorite shot! I might be biased towards mutt messengers though…
