This photo was taken on a ride out from Davis, CA to Full Belly Farms for their annual Harvest Festival. We completed the 90 mile loop with a group of 18, inspiring even more at the farm. When we arrived at the festival we were approached and questioned by so many who congratulated us for our effort, little did they know that our motivation was indeed quite selfish. This is why I ride, to build community with friends, to experience our local landscapes, to feel healthy and alive, and to have a tremendous amount of fun in a brief weekend adventure.
