Gallery: Lee’s Raleigh
[Lee sent us this photo of his Raleigh for our Bike Gallery. —Alan]
This is my daily commuter/errand runner/pub bike/general get around. It gets used all the time and rides great! Its an old raleigh frame and fork of my friend’s grandfather which I have revamped with new handlebars, cranks, and new wheels built with NOS Mavic MA rims. Its fixed wheel with 48/16 gearing. Its a great way to get around! —Lee

This bike looks like it would have served someone well in post-Katrina New Orleans.
Perfect! And not afraid to get its rims wet!
Great picture. Love the bike.
Great basket!
I love the illusion of the bike standing up without a kick stand. That must have required a lot of trial and error with the right pedal in the exact position to be sturdy. Overall very whimsical yet earthy. And of course, great bike!
Fred Payne would of been proud to see his bike looking so cool!! I’m sure if that bike could talk there would be many stories.
Love the pic!
