Golden Hour Commute

The days are getting shorter while the evenings are getting longer and more beautiful. You’ve gotta’ love the fall bike commuting season.

Nice Pic! Wow. A beautiful “golden hour” pic.
Man! I need a trail like that to ride on for my commute. You have such great scenery. All I have are houses and commerce. Beautiful pic.
Fall is my favorite, too!
Who cuts the grass/weeds on the side of your community bike path? Looks like they are doing a nice job. In San Diego, some of our paths are overgrown. The San Diego County Bicycle Coalition asks once a month for volunteers to keep our bike paths maintained and clean.
@S
The City maintains the bike paths. They also do a great job of spraying over any graffiti on the retaining walls very soon after it appears.
That’s a very pretty picture. However as a bicycle commuter, this is actually my least favorite time of year. Commute now happens when the sun is low on the horizon and the streets are aligned with the sun. My commute is primarily east-west, so I get the sun in my eyes going both ways. I am most concerned about the cars driving up behind me. It’s not hard to imagine a short driver with a dirty windsheild so blinded by the glare that I would never be seen.
Lovely picture , I think I’ll go for a ride .
