You must have a small screen? The “zoom” function zooms the full image to fit the screen; on small screens that might mean the zoomed image ends up being reduced to fit the view window.
Yes, I have a small screen. But the picture I get is smaller than the posted picture. Normally it works fine and gives me a bigger picture like it’s supposed to, but not this one.
It does the same for me. It’s probably the aspect ratio of this photo: most of the images on the site are landscape, so they fit better on a standard monitor. This one is portrait, so the algorithm may end up shrinking it when it ‘fits’ to your screen.
Andrew explained it better than I could – thanks! I don’t normally place the “zoom” button on portrait images, and honestly, I’m not sure why I did this time. Too much late night blogging I suppose… LOL.
Thanks, guys.
Alan
PS – If you have a humungous graphics display it will actually zoom out larger (up to the original size of the image).
Control-clicking on my Macbook, over the pop-up image from the “zoom” allows me to choose “open image in new window” and see the full size without the image program trying to size it.
Sorry – I know this has been answered somewhere else — but which bars are you running on the LHT? Are those Civia Aldriches? Do you like them? Which sweep (looks like the 50 or 70)? Thanks!
That’s the 50 degree Civia Aldrich. The 70 degree version is not available until later this year. I like this bar a little too much; I’m supposed to be testing other bars but I can’t quite bring myself to remove it just yet… LOL
Thanks Alan. I found the earlier post where you referenced it compared to the other Civia bar. I’m seriously considering switching my main commuter (the Rohloff bike) from drops to something like the Aldriches. I find that my riding style is just more laid back when not riding drops, and that’s a good thing. I arrive at my destination a little happier.

Beautiful pic, Alan. But when you click to zoom, the “zoomed” picture is actually smaller than the original!

Thanks!
