Sorry guys, a bike summit won’t do it. In L.A., I think you need a benefit concert. With lots of big name STARZ. A message for millions, and the dough to match. If you’ve ever tried to ride a bike in L.A., you know what I mean..
Nah, we’ve got enough money in the LADOT budget; if just a few percent can be reallocated from highways to bike facilities we could get 200 miles of bike lanes added every year.
But first we need a solid bike plan, and a mayor and city council that want to see it implemented.
