Yanko Design Ville Bike/Cart

The Yanko Design Ville concept folding bicycle/shopping cart won the Bronze Prize at IDEA Design Awards 2010. While the general idea is super, I’d like to see a design that’s a little more bike, and a little less shopping cart. The concept has already been fairly well-executed in the real world by Brompton and Bike Friday, both of which are bikes that ride quite well in their own right.

And then there’s this…
Oh, I dunno… we already have plenty of bikes that are “more bike, less shopping cart”. If something that is “more shopping cart” could actually make it in the market, why not have it available?
I rather like the idea of this one. Wouldn’t use it myself, but I like it.
agreed zyzzyx – this definitely needs to be more cart!
Well, it is like a Swiss army knife of bikes or a transformer, but I get zero cool bike factor. I realize it is not designed for the “Cool” factor, but a thing must have the “COOL/sexy” factor in order for it to be YOUR MACHINE! 5 stars to nifty, no stars for cool! I’ll stick to regular machines thank you very much.
