Signs of Spring

Saturday was the first day of spring in the Northern Hemisphere, and right on cue, the first poppies of the season appeared. What a pleasurable time of year to be a bicyclist!

Thanks for the photo of the beautiful poppies (bike, too)! I live in the Missouri Ozarks known for it’s crazy weather. On our first day of spring, we experienced a snowstorm with about 8-10 inches snow accumulation. Hopefully, our “spring” is not too far behind yours. Thanks, Alan, for Ecovelo. It has become a daily “staple” for me and helps me feel a little more connected with what is going on in the practical cycling community.

You’re very welcome, Steve. I hope spring shows up in your neck of the woods sooner rather than later. And thanks so much for the kind words – I appreciate the support!

    Best regards,

Lovely photo, Alan. The days are definitely getting shorter here in the southern hemisphere! I look forward to more of your excellent images to inspire me through the winter.

We are heading into winter here in South Australia . One good thing we is that we do not get the snow like the US has been suffering through. Something to be said for living in a area with a Mediterranean climate. Keep up the great photos.

Sadly, I am still searching for the first spring flower. Soon, I hope.
