Arkel Launches New Website

Canadian bag manufacturer Arkel launched their new website this week. I’ve been a fan of their bags for many years, and I use them on a daily basis for commuting and cargo hauling. Now that their new site is up-and-running, I realize I never much liked their old site; it was difficult to navigate and I often found myself hunting around. The new site features a simpler navigation layout, zoomable photos, and an e-commerce check-out system. Great work guys – much better!

I quite like the “details” icon on each product page– it opens up a new window and shows you all the cool features of the bag!

I use their Dolphin 32 panniers for commuting and I like ‘em a lot. I just wish the rest of their line were built the same as the Dolphins, totally waterproof. In Vermont its pretty much a requirement.

I have a pair of Samurai panniers and I think they’re waterproof. They look like giant versions of the seatbag, but they don’t make them anymore :(
