Solar Powered

Ahhh yesss, the sun finally came out today. Of course, we had to dream up a few errands as an excuse to go for a ride in the middle of a busy work day. It was absolutely stunning, with gigantic, billowy clouds and blue skies as far as the eye could see in every direction. Regardless of which way we were headed, it felt like we had a tailwind. We eventually figured out it wasn’t a breeze, but our joy and excitement at finally seeing the sun, that was powering us along.

    @Seth

    Sorry, Seth. If it’s any solace, it’s supposed to start raining again in a day or two and keep pouring for a week.

    Sounds familiar! The perils of working from home for parts of the year. Well, at least I use the excuse that bike rides help me think better.

    Enjoy the sunshine; Betty looks very happy!

    We also went on a 10 mile errand run today on our grocery getter tandem with trailer. It was more to ride than because we really required provisions. We took the long way to the recycle center, the water store, the bicycle shop and the grocery store. It was raining when we left and for the first 1/2 hour then stopped for the rest of the ride with some intermittent sunshine. Nothing better to raise the spirit !

    We haven’t had sunshine for about four weeks- in fact the best weather we can look forward to is +6 temperature and heavy rain to wash the snow away on Saturday.

    Seth I love your comment… I’m in NY and we finally got a break from the freezing weather, which means we are in the 40s, yay!!!! Alan, every time I read your blog, it makes me want to move to the West Coast :-)

    I think I need to move to California. That photo could pass for summer round here. As could the promise of rain for a week.

    Come on out everyone, there’s plenty of room… :-)
