And, speaking of Sam H….What in the Sam H were they thinking to not produce a 54CM 700C bike? I don’t see the need for an average sized person to have to deal with 650B sized wheels. Otherwise Sam H seems like it would be a killer bike.

54cm is a fairly common cut-off point for dropping down to smaller wheels, particularly on bikes designed to have sufficient clearance for >32mm tires and fenders. For example, Surly only offers 700C down to 56cm on their LHT; below that they drop all the way down to 559mm (26″). It’s about having plenty of tire/fender clearance and avoiding extreme toe overlap on a small-ish bike without having to resort to a compromised frame geometry.
