Here Comes the Sun

What a pleasure it is, when you’ve been locked up inside due to bad weather, to take a bike ride to a coffee shop on the first sunny day in weeks, and sit outside sipping coffee and basking in the glow. Ahhh.

Yes, indeed. Yesterday was a beautiful in Austin. The first sunny day we’ve had in some time (we really needed the rain, but you need a break once in a while, right?), cool temps. I just had to go for a long, leisurely ride. Thirty miles and tons of smiles. Ahhh…
I suspect I have about 4 months to wait before I can do that. Joy.
Cycling to the coffee shop is a daily must for me; I am a serious addict of both cycling and coffee!
Your killing me! I have WAY too long to wait until I can ride anywhere without worrying about going down on the ice!!! Yes I ride with studs, but still worry.
It was nice to see the sun again. We had a high of -20C today. Still rode my bike, it’s faster than walking and far more reliable than public transit.
Lucky sod; I don’t expect to see proper sunshine until March. Have an extra espresso for me.
It was only for a day. The rain’s back today…
Rainy, foggy, and in the 50′s here in Charlotte. However, much better than 20 degree mornings, which are expected for the coming week.
It’s 7am and 70 degrees in Honolulu. It was like that yesterday, and it will be like that tomorrow. Too much of a good thing, I suspect… Although the weather’s fantastic for riding whenever you like, coffee just doesn’t taste as good without a distinct change in seasons; nevertheless, coffee goes where the bike goes– endorphins and caffeine: two great tastes that taste great together. I’ll talk to the gods and get some sun your way, then go down to the supermarket freezer section and see my own breath and just pretend…
Joel , no pity for you here , but thanks for the offer of the sun . I’m looking at about 3 months myself till good cycling weather . For Joel and anyone else still cycling have lots of fun .
Sencha tea @ Peete’s + bicycle break = :-)
