I was in NYC just last week and took this picture of the cool new bike lane and the pedicabs on Broadway. This is right across from Columbus Circle and Central Park. I guess you could call this one “Hope for the Big City” or something like that.

The famous bike messengers on their fixies were almost nonexistent. The majority of bike traffic is made up of delivery guys on crappy bikes with giant Wald baskets on the front. I bet you there are thousands of these guys delivering food, etc. all over the city every day. I regret not having taken some pictures of their antics at the busy intersections.
