The Long Haul Tour

Singer/songwriter Peter Mulvey is once again heading out on a car-free tour. Building upon last year’s successful “No Gasoline Tour”, Peter will bicycle 1100 miles, from Grand Rapids, MI to Northampton, MA, on this year’s “Long Haul Tour”.

You can follow Peter’s progress at The Long Haul Blog.

For folk music fans, Mulvey is a joy to see (and hear, obviously). I caught his performance in Madison, WI last year on his “No Gasoline” tour. You don’t have to be a die-hard cyclist to like his music and performance. It’s just that he’s taking a more scenic route from gig to gig.

PS – Again? When were recumbents ever cool? ;-)

“Bents are always cool when I get a thumbs up from coeds. :-)

And, no, that’s not as creepy as it sounds.

I even got a “kudo” from the Madison mayor during Ride the Drive as I was using my Rans as a Cycle Cam during the event. At least I thought he said I had a cool rig, but he was also riding with the prez of Trek Bicycles. Who knows?
