In an obvious bid to broaden public support for his troubled healthcare reform plans, a vacationing President Obama has now taken to defying the advice of safety advocates at both the federal and state levels.
The bold move, coming in late August when there’s little else to prattle about except homicides and deaths (also wildfires), is certain to create continental controversy among several people concerned about hats worn during recreation.

I love it! What will the nanny state say!? Probably not before the Right, ironically, spins this into an attack on how bad of an example he is!
My first reaction is “what kind of bike is that?”
If the most powerful man on the planet wants to ride a bicycle sans helmet so be it. I’m just glad he’s out enjoying the ride on the worlds greatest invention. At least he made sure his children wore theirs. Someday, they too will be adults and can make their own decisions.
Hilarious! I also love the description of Martha’s Vinyard as an “an island preserve for rich people”.
