Versa IGH Brifter

The Versa from Sussex Enterprises is a new drop bar STI-style brifter that’s fully compatible with Shimano Alfine and Nexus 8-speed internal gear hubs. We don’t have prices yet, but they should be available soon.

Is that the same one from Dynamic Bicycles? Shifting reversed?
I saw that coming (didn’t you?) and I applaud it.
@DL
It must be – it looks identical.
Are these the guys that build a lot of those chainless drivetrain bikes?
@Daniel
Yup.
Soma has these in their webstore. Looks like the price is pretty steep – $250 for the pair.
I think I’d rather get the jtek and a normal pair of brake levers.
Has anyone given these a good test yet? Love IGHs, love drop bars, hate lousy shifting.
@Simon
These are just now coming available; haven’t seen any hands-on reports yet.
@Alan
More or less what I thought. Will let you know if I see anything. Am interested in the performance of the Jtek bar end shifter also, but have to say that until someone makes a brake-only lever for drop bars with a comfortable hood hand position (think old dura-ace), I don’t think it would be my preferred option.
