Sacramento Bicycle Kitchen
The Sacramento Bicycle Kitchen is a volunteer-run, do-it-yourself bicycle maintenance and repair shop doing great work in the heart of Midtown Sacramento, CA.
We are a community of volunteers working to bring do-it-yourself bicycle maintenance, repair, and education to the people of Sacramento. We provide a space, tools, and staff to those interested in bicycle repair. We operate a shop at 1915 I Street in Sacramento and have operated in Sacramento since 2006. We are 100% volunteer-run and pay the bills through donations and paid services like classes and shop fees. If you want to meet a bunch of hard-working, dedicated people, please come on down during our regular hours. (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 6-9pm and Saturday 12-4pm)

They’re a pretty fun bunch of people too. I even have some crappy night photos from their change of address party.
Thanks for the name check, though as a Kitchen volunteer, I’m a little disappointed that you’ve left it to your audience to put in word about us, good or otherwise…
Sorry Sharper – I assumed it was obvious that you’re doing great work there! :-) There will be a more in-depth report with photos to follow at some point.
No worries; I wasn’t trying to slight you. I was just a little worried to see that a great local bike resource apparently had nothing to say about us.
Since I’m here, I’ll add that our hours have expanded to include a shift on Fridays from 10 to 2, in addition to those above.
We’re going to come down to visit for the next Second Saturday event. I’ll have camera in hand! It would be great to meet you if you’ll be attending… :-)
Regards,
Alan
