Davis Chosen as Home for Bicycling Hall of Fame

The city of Davis, CA has been chosen as the new home for the U.S. Bicycling Hall of Fame. Eleven cities vied for the honor after the hall of fame announced it would be moving from its current location in Somerville, N.J.

Davis is among just a few cities in the U.S. to receive the prestigious Platinum level “Bicycle Friendly Community” designation from the League of American Bicyclists. Becoming home to the hall of fame will only increase its reputation as one of the most bike-friendly communities in the country.

The hall of fame will be housed in a city-owned building and could open as soon as this winter.

Yep, Davis is excellent. Considered moving there a few years back.

I went to UC Davis for undergrad and graduate school. I did a lot of riding around the rural roads in the farmlands in Yolo County.

There are many thousands of cyclists in and around Davis and I think it’s an excellent choice.

Something a bit more centrally located would have been nice…
