Kudos for the new layout of this site. A simple mod that goes a long way to ease its looks.
Works for me too Alan, but please don’t go any wider - I visit almost daily using an Asus EeePC. Its 7″ screen lets me see the left hand column and the main centre without scrolling.
I guess most visitors here run a screen somewhat larger.
Fwiw i’m missing viewing some of the photography on here in a higher resolution & really should invest in a nice 22″ tft to plug into the vga socket LOL
Thanks for the feedback. The reason for going to a three-column layout is two-fold: I wanted to get the main navigation and internal site related links in their own column, away from my ever-growing (some might say bloated) blogroll; and I may start offering small banner advertisements for the first time so I needed more real estate for those as well.
In looking at my site stats, 97.8% of my visitors are running 1024×768 resolution or higher. This layout is 975 pixels, wide, so for a large majority of my users it should be functional if not ideal; I definitely won’t go any wider unless the stats change.
Thanks!
Alan
I use the RSS feed, but noticed that I don’t see images anymore - any reason?
@Swizz
I also use an EeePC. Try running Opera as your browser. It has both a fantastic zoom function (full zoom, not just fonts) and a great it-to width feature. It will work on both the Linux and Windows versions of the EeePC.
If you run Linux and you are unsure how to setup it up feel free to contact me via http://www.ruari.com/ as I would be happy to help you. Opera is a fantastic browser for small devices like sub-notebooks.

I was getting too much of my content scraped so I was forced to go to a “partial” feed that only includes an excerpt of the post. You’ll notice many websites are moving in this direction, including almost all of the major news sites. Blame it on the $%#@*&% “Made for AdSense” scammers..
Nice Designe but sorry Alan since this new one, none of my home pc (all with linux, opera and firefox) are able to display this wonderful site.
the provider is the same at my work were all is allright under Windows
Did you change the flash version too?
What a great day! My prefered blog on cycling work again at home :-)
