Gallery: Bob’s Bridgestone XO-1 & Ebisu
My ’93 X-01 was my dependable, year-round commute bike for many years until Sep’07, when I received my Ebisu. I bought the X-01 new from Bridgestone & the BOB mail flyer just prior to Bridgestone closing shop in the US. I’ll still hop on it once in a while to ride to work or run an errand. It’s a fun ride. —Bob

Who makes that front rack. I think it is a Nitto, but not quite!
Hi Bob,
That’s a beautiful Ebisu you have there. I wanted to ask you a few questions since I’m considering All Rounder as well.
What size is the bike? 56cm or 54cm maybe?
How long is the crank arm? Any issues with TCO?
Thanks you much,
Tony
Hi Bob,
Would you happen to know the market value of a stock ’93 X-01 in very good condition? I’m thinking of selling mine.
Thank you!
Lisa
Lisa, they’re worth quite a bit on ebay. One went for over $1000 recently.
I just picked up a 93 X0-1 myself for a steal. The orange ones are pretty collectible. What size is yours?
Can anyone point me to online resources for help with identifying an old Bridgestone bike? I acquired it about 3 years ago, and still love riding it (even though I bought a new carbon frame Kuota last year). Mine has a yellow orange paint job, lugged double butted 4130 CrMo steel frame, and stock Suntour ARX derailleurs with downtube-mounted friction shifters. Painted (or decals?) on the top tube is “Triathlon AL” (or “AI”)… although I don’t think it was ever really a tri bike.
Seems hard to find info to help with identifying it. Any help much appreciated.
Steve
I am in the market for an X-01, 31″ standover — not exactly sure how they fit, but the 53-56cm range. Also, does anyone know the difference between the X-02 and X-01? Thanks!
