It still reminds me of a board track racer. It’s so killer.
This is a wicked bike and absolutely gorgeous – Nick and I just returned from looking at one at Gold Country. If I wasn’t afraid of a serious beating by my bride I’d have whipped out the plastic and ordered one. Luckily Number One Son reminded me of the reaction the last time I pulled that stunt ;-).
A couple differences from the pictures on the website. The tires are the new pattern Delta Cruisers in 700X40 and appeared wider than the tires on the site. The color and width of these tires looks killer. The website shows wing nuts, the bike we saw used regular nuts for the axles.
Pashley has nailed it with this bike, it’s just too bad the dollar has tanked against the pound, it’s a little on the pricey side for a single speed at $1795 (but I still want it….)

Doesn’t it also available as a Sturmey 3-speed?
^Isn’t (D’oh).
According to Rick the 3 speed is not available. Whether or not that’s just stateside thing or it’s been dropped completely I can’t say, he didn’t go into details and I didn’t press it.
Tom
The 3-speed will be available in the US in the Fall as well as a few more accessories. Not that you really need anything else. I want mine in British Racing Green.

Oh… I must have one. *drool*
That is true bike porn.
That bike needs a 14 speed Rohlof (Sp.?) Hub
I recently scored my Guvn’or on ebay for $1,200 bucks with shipping. The owner changed the brooks to a b-67 and kept the ti- railed b-17. He also put the north style nitto bar on and he did send me the original nitto bars which I have reinstalled. I did get the three speed model, and I hated the stupid Sturmey and Archer shifter, So, I changed out to a full alloy mountain bike 3 speed lever I had laying around. I mounted the shifter on the steering stem. I think it is a great bike, and I just need to get a good quality dual center stand for it. Dougman.
